Michael Jackowitz began teaching aerobics over 20 years ago.He has taught high impact, low impact, multi-impact, step, dance, and cardio moves over the years at New York Sports Clubs, Molly Fox Studios, Jeff Martin Studios, Athletic Complex, Manhattan Plaza, Bally’s, and Sports Club LA and  Santa Barbara Athletic Club. He has taught Master Classes at Barbican Health and Racquet in London, Canyon Ranch in the Berkshires, Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara,  Boot Camp in Atlanta, and Club Body Tech in South Beach to name a few. He thanks his mentors:  Patricia Moreno, Abby Goldenberg, Robert Steinbacher, Patrick Goudeau, Calvin Wiley and Wayne Standaloft. Education/Certifications: Michael did his undergraduate training at Emory University in Atlanta (1986); he then went on to Nova/Southeastern Univ. Medical School in Miami (1990). He did his Internal Medicine Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC where he practiced internal medicine for 10 years before moving to Southern California in 2004. He was originally certified in group exercise in 1991 through AFAA and is currently certified through ACE in group exercise (1994) and as a personal trainer (2004). He sat on the ACE advisory Counsel from 1994-1999. He is a member of IDEA, East Coast Alliance (ECA), American College of Physicians, and the American College of Sports Medicine’s Alliance of Health & Fitness Professionals. Michael was also one of the house doctors for NYC Ballet and NYC Opera  at Lincoln Center from 2000-2003.
