Michael Jackowitz is a board-certified osteopathic physician. He did his undergraduate work at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and completed his osteopathic medical training at NOVA/Southeastern College of Medicine with a D.O. degree in 1990. He then did a residency in Internal Medicine at
Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. After completing his residency in 1994, Dr. Jackowitz practiced as a hospitalist with Stamford Hospital for a number of years before going into primary care in Yorktown Heights, NY with a special emphasis on preventive medicine.
In 2001, Dr. Jackowitz became Director of Clinical Affairs for Imaging Heart, a company pioneering the new procedure of coronary CT-Angiography. At Imaging Heart, he was responsible for overseeing the operations of a high-volume imaging practice, managing a large staff, and working with the radiologists to establish clinical protocols, counsel patients and perform clinical consultations.
After a hiatus from medicine to pursue his theater/opera projects in CA (see rest of site!), Michael is excited to be returning to medicine with a new practice in Tribeca: The Farber Center for Radiation Oncology, now open at 21 W. Broadway, New York, NY 10007. www.thefarbercenter.com
